Well another bloody cold day without any joy
So i found that the excisting battery was u/s, so took the one off my transit and started testing, i have 12v at injectors, coil, dizzy, ingition module and ecu, fuel is being pumped, spark plugs are firing, so fook knows, the only thing i cant do is adjust the distributor as on my own when trying to start the car, which is a problem, the car is still killing the battery very quickly, which i put down to the starter motor, so i think i,ll just replace and i am not getting to much output out of the cold start injector, but i think thats a wiring issue, never mind back to the drawing board.

Do you have pulse at the injectors yes? they are injecting fuel?

How much does the battery voltage drop down to when cranking the engine over?
Hi Ronnie
As i said its only me working on the car, so it hard to crank and test at present mate, was really just checking the feeds to ensure i had power to them, as you cant bank on the wiring, but at lease that is working correctly i think, i,ll check the battery voltage drop next time mate and report back, cheers

I used to use one of these on range rovers, means you can stand by the door and crank while turning the dizzy a good amount:thumbsup

Well a had a bit of a result today, got talking to a guy in the local spares shop and he reacons he knows the Rover EFI system like the back of his hand and my mate that runs the shop backed him up, so i booked him in for saturday the 18th to come and have a look, am gonna get the new starter fitted, so its all in order and he told me to buy a new ignition module and cold start sensor which came in at ÂŁ38, and he is gonna re-time the engine in full, as i think this has been adjusted, so here's hoping that i can drive the car next weekend, i can't bloody wait, bring on that V8 lol:thumbsup:thumbsup
