Thanks Symze . I will know more tmorro BMW had no ATF in stock so ill get it tmorro . If that not helping ill have to go for a rebuild 1st then 2nd sell the car asap . Ill never ever buy bmw cars .
me either, had 3 BMW's since 2020 each one has had a range of problems. Prior to that I had 2 Merc's - not one issue with either, the E-Class I think I got 150k miles out of it and was still going strong when I sold it. Kicking myself for switching

Look what i found out guys VW Transmission Lawsuit Won't Be Dismissed
.... this its the same gearbox !!!
We need to get together !!!!
here is a list cars this transmission is in, serious problems are not common hence why most get the cold shoulder from BMW, sad but thats the way most manufacturers work, i maintain most issues are related to servicing or lack of, this needs to be addressed and added to service schedules, IMO of course ;)

For me looks like something else its going on . Wile you right most of problems are related to maintenance ..... problems on 27k miles and in my case35k miles .

This problems should not happen at this mileage services or not .... dead gearbox at 27k and 35k miles takes more then lack of service.

i disagree, they should have had a post run in service at around 1000 miles, this would remove worn friction material and maybe small amounts of metal from "bedding in", i believe it's this material that can interfere with the solenoids...there is no filter in this GB, the ATF in my gearbox was as black as used diesel oil after 25,000, i dont believe it would have been anywhere near as bad had it recieved a run in service, also i think driving style has an effect, my car was all stop go traffic for 20,000, another point though is: i dont think this is as big an issues as some think, there must be hundreds of thousands of these gearboxes in use now, if it was epidemic scale i think we would know

Are you saying the gearbox needs a 1000 mile service?? What is this, the 1950's? Wow!

here a link to a youtube video which explains this gearbox, very interesting and if nothing else gives you an idea of why Transmission Fluid changes are so important, still shocks me BMW and others won't do it as a service requirement
Interesting video, it really is a marvel of engineering, so why on earth do they not service them, it’s madness…

i agree, even Aisin recommend servicing intervals, clearly BMW and others think it does their brand harm by following recommendations although to give VW a bit of credit they will at least try and repair the GB's...BMW wont

Update to post . Did the flush and fluid change was low and dirty but NOT HELPING . Car its drivable atm all gears working but i can feel something isnt right . Rough changes at low speed
im sure will go any moment back to limp mode .
So any who have this issues CHANGING FUIDS ITS NOT HELPING only leave you 400 short . Im still looking for a place to repair and sell the car ( with warranty that issues are gone ) or to change the
gearbox with remanufactured one found for 2500 inc labour .
Only problem i have to get the car to Essex ( 500 miles ) .
