Hi !

I'm sorry my bad english, I live in Finland.

I have a few question; (Look page 1 ! ) Must I have download both files ? If I download the first files ( inpa full version) and burn it cd-disc. Works Inpa then?

Where I need "updated" files, is it compulsory ?

Thanks.. :thumbsup

I have been trying to install inpa for about two weeks now :mad

I bought the cable from eBay which came with the software, i followed the instructions to the letter but no joy as it states it is not compatilable with windows 7 64 bit. I have also tried following this install method in this thread, still no joy :shifty:

Anyone willing to help me please???? I'm based in Oxford if anyone is local & handy with laptops, just trying to get my e46 back on the road!

Cheers.

Thanks sergeantash, brilliantly detailed, took a while to follow but working well, waiting on the lead for a wee play ;) thumbsup!
anyone still stuck and need a hand?

@sergeantash - Thanks a million for your wonderful post and thread! With the software and instructions you provided I was able to read/clear the faults on my E60. I wasted so many evenings with other websites and was getting very frustrated until I found your clear and concise instructions, many thanks for taking the time to share!

Edit: One thing I will add: I think the instructions to add c:\EDIABAS\bin to the TEMP and TMP environment variables is incorrect? I have seen mention elsewhere that it should be added to the PATH environment variable?

You should be able to ignore that message and manually run the install file, the setup.exe should be at C:\BMW Tools\Programinstallation\setup.exe, run that file manually.
Could You shed some light how to run it?I have same problem. When I go to C:\BMW Tools => Programinstalation and when I click setup the application starts to instal, but it is much different to what is described and looks like a proper BMW program instalation.Program asks where to install few things like EDIABAS,WinKFP NFS,INPA,NFS EXPERTENTOOL but I think this shouldn't be here.Cheers

Hi chum tick all boxes to update

Please help

Hy everyone.
I just bought a interface to clear some errors. It's a USB OBD2 interface with a 16pin to 20 pin adapter.
My car is a November 1999, BMW 320d with a M47 engine (100KW).
I installed INPA according to the tutorial presented in the first page of the current post, and everything seems to work fine, until i actually try to do something using the interface.
Has anyone encountered this error
and if so, what is the solution?
Really hope someone CAN :D help.
PS: I'm a newbie with INPA...

Thanks for the detailed write up! Unfortunately I'm not having success with setting this all up. I ordered the cable but while for delivery, I decided to go ahead to download and begin the software install. I only got to running the "instaprog" program, I keep getting an error message that states that the program is not a valid win32 program. I checked to ensure that I changed to win xp (sp3) and run as administrator. Anything I'm missing here? Does the setup have to follow the exact sequence?

So I got past the win32 incompatibility issue, however now when I double click on the extracted "INSTAPROG.exe" file to run it, it behaves like it's about to install and then there's the spinning wheel and then the spinning stops and nothing happens. Again please note I don't have the cable install done yet. Does this matter? Still waiting on cable delivery.

HELP PLEASE!!!

No, it does'nt matter that you don't have a cable installed. Everything should work without any issues. Maybe is something wrong with your Windows os. I could take a look at this remotely via teamViewer if you want.

Hi, i followed the instructions and i can load inpa fine, but whenever i try and read anything from the car, i get IFH-0009 NO RESPONSE FROM CONTROL UNIT - anyone got any ideas?
Do you have black dots on BATTERY and IGNTION? If yes then your cable is broken. What cable and car do you have?
