Hey guys

I've got a 318d f30 2013 with 125k on clock

Had no issues apart from last night

Was driving along busy road no warning my car loses all power.

Cuts out and I can't even put hazards on

Checked battery is correct volts at front but no amps going to fuse box.

Random as f##k it then once on back of recovery truck lights came on and had power again.
Had a 1hr 30 trip so lights had been on for that journey so now I don't have enough juice to start her up and I've got multiple malfunctions on dash I.e brakes rpa failed charge battery .....

Any one got ideas what it could be

Regards

Tom

So battery has lower but there’s no power at fuse box? If that’s the case you need to check connections on the power distribution that lives on top of battery to make sure everything is clean and tight. Also while at it check the earth connection from battery to body is good

Yes it would cause it but you also need to establish what caused the problem, could just be poor connection at battery which caused heat but you want to make sure there’s not an underlying problem.
Absolutely no idea what they would charge, I would be replacing the battery aswell if it was mine.

Hello! Any updates? My car just did the same thing yesterday, driving, tried to accelerate after a speed bump and the car completely died, no lights, no hazards, no nothing, just died, car stuck in drive, can´t access battery yet, I´ll remove my back seat today to access, but is not doing anything, I had to tow the car to my house.

from the easiest ones is loose terminal on the battery to more complicated like rotten wire sunder the body if the battery is in the trunk, there was some technical bulletin issued about 3 series - common fault close to rear nearside wheel arch- they were fitting extra sleeve on the power wire.
