I'm toying with the idea of either a E46 318i which is a 4 cylinder 1995cc engine or a 6 cylinder 320 which is a 2171cc engine.
I've got a £1600 budget and want a decent auto but not something I'm going to be spending cash on repairs.
My Dad thinks that a 6 cylinder will be problems opposed to a 4 cylinder. (Overheating mainly) Does anyone know of issues or have any advice about which I should go for?
Also looking about there is a well priced 318i steptronic, is this a decent box? I have no real experience of auto boxs so would appreciate some advice.
