Hi @Johnnyroper i user ista today and reset the adapations. new errors occured. Installation faulty.. confused. Further research it turns out the car can be very sensitive with how tight you tighten the bolts on the camshafts.

The kit came with new bolts so i used them, however, the bolt which holds the top part of the plastic bit of the kit (the thing the chain goes through) had two washers, whilst the kit came with only one washer. could it be that sensitive?

The vanos solenoids were off ebay but i tested them and they both seemed fine.

The screens were clean when i had installed them

What could cause an installation fault? I had the camshafts locked? same with the crankshaft. Only thing i can do is re check the timing now ...any idea @Johnnyroper or @Atyn

@Johnnyroper There was a gear and chain behind the gear that goes at the bottom of the chain, I believe it's called the oil pump chain? not sure. If that were to come off, would it be as simple as placing it back on?

but if it was out of sync or place then an oil pump error would appear right?

Just to update everyone as I saw this post gathered a lot of views,

I ended up getting an original vanos solenoid from bmw for the left hand side of the engine (under the ecu)

And there was a software update for the vanos system. This fixed all my issues with the vanos stuff.

Thank you everyone who helped me :]

The vanos hubs can go in any orientation, you just need to make sure you match inlet to inlet and exhaust to exhaust. The bit that needs to go in correctly is the cam sensor pick up, there should be a lock tool in kit to align them.
Boa noite @Johnnyroper estou com problema p13c0 oque pode ser?
