Its says on the box-well did with my NGK's but basically put it in finger tight as much as you can and then give it a quarter turn-IIRC thats what it says on the box :thumbsup

 

dont torque i never do, turn them till theyre snug then give it no more than a quarter of a turn

My torque wrenches are amongst my most useful tools :thumbsup Just you don't need them for doing plugs :thumbsup

 

yeah i never use my torque wrench on plugs, i tbh dont trust my torque wrench on somthing like that, usually use it for suspension components and bigger things on the engine. just looked on a couple threads on e46 fanatics that looks like the right plug for you

edit: didnt use antiseize but it wont be bad just use a little bit, i remember my old plugs were a pain in the ass to get out.

 

Plugs should always be torqued up. If I caught someone doing them by hand in my workshop I would give them a kick out of the door....:eek
Should be 25nm on yours..

 

imo, hand tight and 1/4 turn is not tight enough (but it depends on the car obviously), 20-25nm is what i use.

Always use a torque wrench as the correct crush on the washer is critical for the right heat transfer, and do NOT use anti-seize as per BMW (and porsche) instructions. My indy does it the correct way.
