X5 E70 help with pre heater (Webasto)

Hi All

I purchased a X5 E70 2008 Msport SD about 4 months ago.

I need some help regarding the Webasto.

Can any one tell me if the pre heater (auxiliary heater) is connected in any way to the CAS unit?

I recently had my CAS unit changed and keys re programed at BMW because some **** tried to steal my car.:mad

Since BMW done the work my pre heater has stoped working and they claim this has nothing to do with the work they completed.

I just wanted to check

Any help would be appricated

If the Webasto is after market, it has nothing to do with CAS. If it's original the remote is propably connected to CAS, but you should still be able to start it via I-drive menu.

It’s not an after market unit.

Do you know where in the idrive menu? I can’t find it! (Please excuse my stupidity)

Does any one know for sure if it’s connected to the CAS unit?
