Hi all

I have a Dash Cam I want to install to my 320i E91, and in order to do so I need to splice in an extra 12v socket.

In my previous 2 cars I removed the centre consoles and drew from the main front cabin socket, so I'm thinking the same for the Beemer.

In one of them, there were actually a spare live from factory hidden away, does the BMW have the same thing?

Any suggestions on locations I could possibly go for? Any tips at all would be gratefully received.

Please note - I think they all of the existing sockets are anyway but it has to be a switched live, so only on when the car ignition is on.

Well currently I have my wireless charging phone mount plugged into the main centre console via a 12v socket usb plug, with the cable running down the side trim, up under the pedals and tucked in the trim.

But this is ugly and it's bothering me.

The dash cam draws power from a micro USB to 12v plug, although I don't see why I couldn't use a normal usb A to micro usb.

I want to install a double usb so i can hide it all,.just trying to make up my mind if I want it truly hidden, or surface mounted somewhere discreet...

Ideally
