The truth about Egr set to stay closed in the Ecu software

I have programmed EGR delete into the engines Ecu (DDE) software so faulty EGRs can be removed or unplugged so the EGR stays closed all the time and does not to open so the customer does not have to replace it at a high cost or on working EGRs to stop the soot getting into the intake and clogging the manifold so stopping the newer type swirl flaps from wearing out faster on the N47, N57, and others
These have been on the early and later type Ecus for the M and N type engines

Many other tuners (and DPF removers) will tell you it is not possible to set the Egr to stay closed or turn off the Egr if the Egr is faulty without the need to remove the DPF or as the DPF will not Regen which is completely BS as I have proven this time and time again that my Egr off through the Ecus software works every time

Warn swirl flap rod in lower intake manifold port
The upper intake port has broken off swirl flap which got stuck in the manifold port


Remember you don't need to remove the DPF from your car (it's illegal to use your car on the road if it's been removed)
Other tuners and DPF removers will only tell you this to rip you off as it makes them more money and they can sell off the insides of the DPF for a lot of money which they will put in their pocket

There is no need to fit EGR caps or EGR blanking plugs or EGR plates as it will be a waste of time and money

As you will still need to program the codes out in the Ecus software anyway after these EGR blank plugs have been fitted

So I would advise to program the EGR valve to stay closed correctly in the ECUs software at the time of the remap

Which software and scanner can I use to code out that the EGR opens?

Most of the software programs out there will delete a lot of others codes that are needed and stop the dpf regen

We set the egr to stay closed all the time this way the dpf will still work as normal
We do this manually byte by byte

If the egr is set to closed all the time or deleted correctly the dpf will still regen as normal

There is so much wrong advice about egr and dpf on the net and Facebook (loads of scaremongering to make you buy what they are selling)

As always this comes from the people who sell you a dpf removal/delete or sell you egr blanks so they can make loads more money out of you

It’s about time people wakeup and wise up to what’s happening stop letting others brain wash you, stop being like sheep

Why do they stick open ?
If you take it apart you will see why
If it was stuck open all the time you would not have any power all the time

All that is needed on the worst one I’ve seen that was stuck open all the time was to close it manually 1st
Then set the egr to stay closed all in the ECUs software
Once it’s set to closed all the time it will not open or allow soot past

I’ve done hundreds of cars setting the egr to stay closed all so it doesn’t open with not problems



Some tuners have problems as they don’t know how or what to check regarding the working of the dpf system

What could cause a EGR OPEN CIRCUIT? thanks
If it’s Eletrical version then it could be its unplugged
Wiring or connection
Coil in side has burnt out
Dde has a internal problem

I'm watching this with interest...would be good to know if you (bwchiptune) provide a mobile service if cost of travelling is met and reasonable or is this something that needs vehicle at your garage?
