Hi all,

Have my MOT coming up soon, usually a bulb not working is one of the most easiest things to spot, however,

from what I can see ALL my bulbs work when i have tested them, headlights , high beams, sidelights, indicators front and back, foglights, brake lights, reverse lights, parking lights, interior lights, etc etc

however, i have the following warning light on the dash, i have a code reader but it doesnt tell you details of bulb issues or dead bulbs, is there anything else that would be able to identify what looks to be a false positive reading? or do these warning lights come up when a bulb is working but maybe on its way out?

If i cant find the reason why this is coming up before my MOT, is this likely to fail the MOT even though my lights and bulbs are working ?

I had some dodgy led angel eye bulbs on a previous e92 that gave bulb out warning despite all bulbs working, passed mot fine.
If you go to the check menu using indicator stalk hold bc down on the bulb warning and it will give a cc-id code. With this code it will indicate which bulb it thinks is failed. Check connections are clean and replace bulb anyway just in case and then see what happens

Double check the rear lights as there are 2 bulbs each side I think for the normal on (not brake). I've also had mine warn when the bulb was about to fail as it's resistance was obviously wrong. Anyway it's easily missed because with 2 bulbs one is still lighting so easily mistaken when checking in daylight or for a reflection against a wall if sat in car.
