though it's often easier/safer to take one out and check what's really in yours....

Halfrauds don't even sell what I need.

It appears the bulb is labelled Phillips - couldn't read much else as writing tiny.

Can anyone recommend where to buy as I think both have now blown (is it common for one to follow the other?)

I'm all for led replacements but not if I'm going to experience check control errors all the time. Hope someone can advise what may work.

Somehow I seem to have inherited a thread :)

They're pretty generic aren't they, most time passed there'll be guts with bulb in one hand staring at hundreds on the racks....

If all else fails, there's always the local BMW dealers parts desk, not always bad expense wise, I've needed wheel centres and bonnet badge looked up on t'webby and some doubt bout sizes, ended up at the local parts desk and a) parts fitted, b) not that expensive...

If going LEDs (say in the summer) then ones that claim suitable for bmws and mention of ballast, they draw less wattage so need a resistor added to kid the car they're the same.
I've used HIDS4U before for angel eye LED upgrades, no problem and a couple of years later needed a replacement and they were still there....

Yes it is common for them to go within a short time of each other and they tend to last around 3 years. I replaced both of mine together from Halfords at around a fiver each and a very easy 30 second fix.take your bulb in and leave it to the guys to identify the correct replacement :thumbsup
