HI i hope someone can help. I am new to this forum and never used a forum before so please forgive me if i am putting this in the wrong place. I have a 2012 Z4. I recently had a oil change and had the and rear brake pads changed. Since then the Microfilter (pollen filter) warning symbol is coming up in red. I have tried everything i can think of to clear this. I have done the press the odometer until the yellow triangle comes up and navigate to the microfilter that is showing red then press the reset but this does not work. I have also had a friend plug in his foxwell diagnostic computer into the car and the hasn't worked. I have even tried to disconnect the battery for day to see if that would clear the fault but again that hasn't worked. The strange thing is that the replacement date for the filter is saying 2001. The car wasn't even made then. So i even tried to put the car date back to year 2000 and the reset it but again that didn't work. I am now completely out of ideas.

Have you done the reset correctly?
(Have you reset the clock, date etc. after disconnecting the battery?)

Has the car ever had a ecu changed with a cloned ecu ?
