Yes, you will have either an air lock or a partially blocked heater core.
Try the auto bleed a couple of times first, if that fails then flush the heater core with a hose pipe.
Mine was exactly the same, only heat coming from drivers side, flushed the heater core, refilled with anti-freeze then bled the system and heater is working fine now.

Hey pal, thanks for the advise its much appreciated. Yeah i thought it could be a blocked heat core or the flaps that could have stuck. I'll get my mechanic to flush, fingers crossed it does the trick

I thought the same, had all the flaps checked at a cost of £75.
found this link online and it cured my problem, been fine ever since.

Really? Because I have this problem too but left it, thinking it is probably the flaps In the dash and too big a job to do.

did you try flushing?
