had my transfer case serviced,along with gearbox and engine,happy days,,i supplied the oil for transfer case£34 for 1 litre robbin twats,also last owner gave me cabin/oil/fuel/air filters and oil for engine service,,so all in i paid like £550 and £34 for oil,,,DWMOTORWORKS throckley near newcastle

 

Just looked at this and I think you are right that it is a mileage/date triggered warning. Seems that an oil change is required and then a reset of adaptions to get rid of it. Seems it’s a bit like the dpf code that triggers at a set mileage. Does seem that it is not the easiest of codes to reset. Enjoy your new wheels matey.

yeh same info ive found,read probably 200 pots past couple of days,always get gearbox serviced on any car i buy,so will get that and the transfer case done,it only needs 1 litre of oil etc,but its like you say,the reset is tricky,ps im still keeping my 640d like,,my e 90 im keeping till start of july,needs mot in july ,so ill get that done and im 99%sure it needs control arms and maybe drop links(again)..hard to sell when it has braking judder,
