How did you check the maf?

 

I just unplugged it and see if there was any changes to the drive - isn’t that the easier way to

Buy yourself a suitable scanner to check fault codes,expect to pay around £130.00 for a decent dedicated BMW one.
The current ones available are equal to professional BMW diagnostics ( clever chinese) and should give you some indication where the problem lies plus forum advice on any codes can help.
Diagnostic scanners do not fix faults but steer you in the right direction at substantially reduced cost over the dreaded Main Stealer route.

As @teejaybee said, a BMW compatible one such as Ancel BM700 from Amazon, or Foxwell NT530 for similar money will let you clear the adaptations or doing a code clear even if there aren't any will reset the ecu.

(compatible ones will show BMW hex codes which often don't show up with OBDii scanners)

The Foxwell scanner is used by many on here including myself.
??? got me thinking now where is mine (have a few scanners) will have to sort them out.

 

could be a pressure converter or vac lines that feed it,can you feel turbo kick in properly ?

 

I don’t, I remember on my 330d I could hear it spoil and make a nice sound but nothing on this

 

Okay so it’s weird today again it gave me full power going to a friends house but when I got in it to go home again half the power 🤦‍♂️ still need get it plugged in

 

You are definitely going to need plugged in with ISTA ideally to get a better idea what’s going on.

no vac to worry about on 30d as the single turbo is electronic only vac stuff is egr cooler bypass and engine mounts.

 

yeh id id think tthat being f series single turbo.soemthing is wrong but quick fix i think,maybe turbo maybe wastegate actuator,but as said,we will stop guessing,and as said get it scanned from a bmw specilaist,no dearer than any other garage,using ista

 

Quick update in what I’ve found - not had time to take car in yet due to my schedules

However, if I reset the throttle by holding down the gas pedal for 5 seconds with ignition on, I get full power but soon as engine turns off be it by start stop or end of journey, it’s back to half power

Something similar as I have. My 525d 2.0 biturbo has all power in 1.to4. gear, but from 5. gear it only shows 180-200 hp in sport display. I put stage 1 and again in 1.to4.gear it shows 240hp( that is max value in display ) but from 5.gear it drops the power. I checked everything with ISTA and all is perfect. No codes. Wtf. Biturbo is a pain in the ass to fix , 2 pressure converters, 3 vacuum valve, and so on. Only thing i saw was that my wastegate flap was little open, couse when I actuated bypass flap or any other flap on turbo, wastegate lever closed and than opened about 1 or 2mm like pressure converter gave vacuum on wastegate and it shouldnt. I am a mechanic and cant figure it out.
