Red ELV light on car started steering unlocked driveable ! At garage software update cas counter reset all good no lights for 3 whole weeks --same again red light so back at garage for another reset==lasted six days same scenario. So bought an emulator fitted it all ding dongs and light still on steering locked brakes locked and wouldnt start-=== so back to original set up car starts and drives perfect but with red light on== charged battery overnight in case tried again ELV light went yellow then red but started ! so wow now all i need is to clear code-- WRONG went to drive away steering lock was on !!!! so back to square one connected as per norm with red elv light on but driveable !! The second time it came on my missus was sat in the car doors unlocked keys in my pocket and away from car and as i came back hazards started flashing and on stopping them with fob elv red light came on so qpart from suicide any ideas tea and sympathy advice etc all welcome oohh and all the reading on emultors said that the original connector was numbered one to four mine wasnt !!confusedconfused

UPDATE--- AFTER CONTACTING THE EMULATOR SELLER I GOT STUCK INTO THE JOB AGAIN AND ALL NOW GOOD ALLWORKING JUST WAS LEFT WITH RED LIGHT WHICH HAS NOW BEEN CLEARED--WHAT I HAD DONE WRONG IS THE STEERING WHEEL WAS STILL LOCKED WHEN I FITTED THE EMULATOR SO IT REMAINED LOCKED I NEVER DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY AS SOME RECOMMEND AND ON INSERTING KEY FOB ALL WAS WELL ! HIGH PRAISE TO TEK-TRONICS THE VENDOR AND FOR HIS PRECISE INSTRUCTIONS WHEN I CONTACTED HIM SAVES BMW CHARGING FOUR FIGURES FOR SURE
