E92 seat belt extender stopped working

I suspect my kids had somerts to do with this fault. The extender was sticking out of its seating position and wasn't extending when the door either opened or closed etc. So I forced it out! Oops. Now it needs to go back. Doesn't sound like there's a motor engaging on that side of the car when the extender should come out. Can someone help me with either a how to or such like.

Motor needs replacing happened on mine. Buy off eBay pretty cheap

Yep that's it comes with controller and motor. Does it make any sound at all or is it just stuck and won't go back in if so motor needs replacing its most likey over heated and blown.

No sound at all. I've pulled the arm completely out. Been using it as a back scratcher lol.
Will it go back in easy enough and how difficult is it getting that panel off to access it?

Pretty difficult to fit I brought part off eBay and got it fitted for £20 for a local garage they had to remove the back panel only, but if you wanted to try yourself you could try by just unscrewing.
