Hi,

I know this has been covered but I have searched and can't seem to find a definite answer. Removed the engine cover and noticed the vacuum pipes looking a bit worse for wear. The car is running fine but thought I would replace them before the inevitable happens. I have stumbled upon these hoses which are silicon, just wondering if they will be okay to replace all of the vacuum pipes as the roll is 3.3mm i.d? Or is that size specific to only some of the pipes?

Many thanks

Andy

Thanks, do the 4mm id hoses fit snug then on all of the fittings to form a nice seal? Searching through other posts some have even fitted 3mm tubing!

I have no complaints. I have driven 200ish miles since I changed mine and none have popped off.

I tested for leaks and haven't found any. No boost issues when flooring it.

BMW hoses are 3.5mm so wouldn't like to fit 3mm.
Thanks, I'm going to order some and have a go next weekend. Also thinking my thermostats are starting to play up. The car will only get to 90 degrees plus if I am in very slow traffic. Once I get moving and there's airflow over the rad it drops and fluctuates between 78 and 82 degrees, even on the motor way it hovers at low 80's, it seems to take quite a while to reach these temps as well. Ordered a Hella EGR stat fro ECP (which i presume is OE) and will start with that as it looks a fairly simple job. The main stat sounds a little bit more involved !! Does anyone know if you can buy OE main stats without going to the stealers? :frown

Nice one, ordered the egr stat, will cancel the one from ECP. Is the febi main thermostat OE then? Need to do this asap, definitely getting worse. Struggles to get past 75 degrees now.
