Hi, I have a 2006 330d sport. The headlight bulb warning light came on so i had a look to see if it was difficult to change and what buld i needed. It seems to have some sort of aftermarket canbus boxes under each headlight. I initially thought they were some sort of tuning box as they clearly are not factory fitment and were poorly located. They are wired into both headlights and the bulb is part of a loom which seems to be all one part. Does anyone know what this could be or where i can get a replacement bulb complete with wiring?

Are they some sort of aftermarket HID kit? If so, on the other wire (the one the bulb is not attached to), there should be a plug (possibly inside the headlight) and this will plug straight onto a standard bulb.
When I fitted a kit like this to out MINI Cooper, I did not have to alter any wiring at all, just "plug and play"

It looks like an aftermarket Xenon/HID kit has been fitted mate.
Aftermarket Xenon replacement bulbs can be bought from the link below, quite cheap too for what they are - they should come with a wire/cable and connector similar to the one above and plug straight back into the HID ballast.
