E61 / E60 Space Saver Spare Wheel

Just wondering if anyone knows the answer to this...

I bought a spacesaver from Ebay, infact i actually emailed a guy selling space savers and asked for a 17" suitable for the E61/60 range. He said he had one, it was very cheap so i grabbed the chance, it came with jack and toolkit delivered for £85. Arrived today and its all for an E46 i think, the toolkit and jack certainly are which i suppose will be OK but the wheel is a 16" 115/90 i think they should be 130/80/17 for the 5 Series? But was wondering if it would still fit before i complain??

Wheel won't fit due to the different offset also might have a issue due to the E60 having bigger brakes I think 17" is the smallest you'll need.

Thanks for replying. I've had the whole 16" not fitting debate before when looking at winter wheels and that argument came out as 16" wheels will fit. I get lost with offset but does that make much of a difference with such a skinny wheel, isn't it something to do with distance from hub? I will probably try it to c??

Look on the tyre pressure plate on the drivers door jam. This will give the wheel and tyre sizes that will fit your car. It does vary across the range with generally the bigger engines requiring bigger (i.e 17 in plus) wheels.
