Dash Cams and battery discharge.

Is anyone else here running a dash cam with a parking mode? I have an E60 535d with a Thinkware F770 front and rear facing cameras setup to record parking incidents.

The parking mode is setup to detect any impact but also motion detection. In a busy car park it can record over 10 motion events during a day and most times I get back to my car and start it I'm greeted with an iDrive gong to inform me that the battery has a high rate of discharge.

The camera has a feature to switch off if the battery voltage drops below a certain level, which I've set to 14.1 (not sure how many volts are needed to start the car) so I'm not worried about being stranded with a flat battery. But does anyone know if there is a way to disable the discharge warning gong in iDrive?

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue as this with there dash cam?

Yes, if it's going to be cold and not touch a car for a while/short journeys, I tend to cut the power to them, otherwise get the 'low battery' warning, I know the battery is on the way out and have a new one ready to put in one warm sunny day....

I drive the car every day and my week day journey is 50 miles each day so the battery is well charged. One of the main reasons for the dash cam is the parking mode so I don't want to disable it just to stop the iDrive warning. My warning isn't that the battery is low, this shouldn't happen as the power to the cam is cut if the voltage drops below 14.1v. My warning just tells you that the battery is discharging at a higher rate.
