Currently running a 330ci but reluctantly need to change to something that will accommodate my dog (spaniel)-would like something comparable performance-wise but am at a loss to come up with anything!!?? Any suggestions guys......Audi TT 225 ?????

Pretty sure a TT won't hold your dog my gals don't hold ours! I'd go touring or hatch! 330 touring? 530 touring?
For that money I'd go Audi S3 or Golf Gti both fantastic cars and practical with a boot and proper ish rear seats.
Good shout gringog thought I'd get blasted! Haha I do prefer the golf over s3 tho owned a A3 and wasn't impressed drove plenty of golfs and seem better (I know they are basically the same car but I didn't get on with my a3)
I would also go with a golf gti. You'd get a nice specked one within your budget and with a re-map be looking at 240ish bhp at a guess. (and those 19 inch diamond cut alloy upgrades that come on some are the works).......

R32 would be more in the spirit of the 330i. Pretty sure you could bring in a mk5 at that budget :thumbsup
A mk5 r32 is out of budget I should think. Also, having worked for the VAG group I know that that engine can be a nightmare. The 3.2 is always having problems and is an expensive fix. I would shy away from an r32 unless it comes with 2 years warranty.
Our lasses 3.2 runs sweet as a nut no probs and the dsg changes well with no clunks but they have both had regular Audi services and when she got it she got the gearbox oil serviced. I would go mk4 r32 is I had that money with the left over a few choice mods
That's a good budget mate, I personally wouldn't spend that much and would probably get a Civic Type R - uber reliable cars.
I'm really confused though why you would suggest a mk1 TT225 which is tiny in comparison with a 330???
If you don't want a touring and the coop isn't big enough it has to be a hot hatch surley?
Maybe a new focus st? Get a great example of one of those for 8-9k

I would personally stick with a BMW, perhaps get a loon and cover the rear seat - depends how big your dogs are....

I wouldnt go for a TT 225 if you have a dog LOL i cant even fit in the back & im only 5ft 10.
Can you not get "Dog Roof Racks" where their paws are velcroed into a 4 point mechanism?
That would save you taking the dog for a walk as it gets loads of excercise (especially on the motorway). If it deficates you do not have to pick it up!
