Bavarian Auto screen upgrade - good so far

I upgraded the screen today. Got passthrough of original MMI functions, original bluetooth audio, and CarPlay working. The installation instructions were clear enough.
So far so good!

One thing I was wondering (as I disconnected the battery -ve) - what's that weird grey plastic thing in the tool tray?

Don't think it belongs well never seen anything like that.
I could be wrong so will watch this jic.

Try using Google lens it searches for images on the internet and usually finds a match.
