Hi folks. Just registered here to add my bit to this thread. Happened a while ago but sure will do yous no harm to hear it anyway!
It wasn't a BMW I was after but a Type S Diesel Honda Civic (Laugh if you wish) Anyway I was coming from Ireland and I called up in advance and
asked was the car damaged repaired because if it was please let me know, I don't want it. No was their reply.
So I booked my flights to the UK and the ferry home. They wouldn't take cash either, so I had arranged with my bank before hand that I was going
to be buying a car and didn't want any stupid password requests when the transaction was going to go through.
Rang them when my flight landed, explained I was under pressure for time and to have the car ready please.
Arrived at their place, car was not ready as requested. Car arrived some 30 minutes later, parked on the side of the road across from where their other cars were parked.
Far from an ideal place and I am pretty sure it was parked that way for a reason which I later found out.
The sales man "Matt" and ignorant A Hole handed the phone to me when he was putting the transaction through and my bank was requesting a password that
I had never been asked for before and the transaction was declined. This happened twice as I was guessing a password I didnt know of and this was the 3v Visa thing
so they wouldnt discuss anything else with me. Far from ideal.
I had to call my branch in Northern Ireland to try sort it. Now I had flown over from Ireland, I had a assumed the nice garage I was buyin the car from would be polite enough to let me use their phone.
He then said to me "I cannot sit here with you all day at my desk while you sort out your bankiing issues" I couldnt believe it and if I had have been at home in Dublin I would have told him to fcuk right off.
I was late for the ferry as it was and I needed the car to get there so I bit my tongue whilst still not believing how rude he actually was.
Anyway thankfully got through to the bank manager and it was sorted. Quite lucky because she wasnt actually supposed to help me out like she did but I explained my situation and she was quite understanding.
So off I went and hit the road.
Didnt realise until I got home to Dublin a few days later than the front left wing had obviously been damaged and repaired on the cheap. As you can imagine I was not happy as I had specifically asked was the car in anyway damaged before I purchased my flights over.

I was in Ireland at this stage and I got a quote from a repair shop here and I wrote to JamesPaul and explained they sold me a car with a shitty repair job and I would like it put right.
They didn't want to know and I'm sure they felt that because I was in Ireland at this stage I wouldn't bother following it up.
I bit the bullet and did get the wing aligned and painted right myself at an additional cost of course.
So there you go JamesPaul that was over three years ago but thats what an unhappy customer does. Just letting all you BMW heads know what they are like if you are thinking of buying from them.
Thank you
