Used it loads over the years and will continue to do so,never had an issue and always find it at very reasonable prices. Engines don’t use any of it between changes.
Thinking about it that’s what’s been in yours since timing chain was done.

Especially when changing it more regular than recommended.
My other diesels have had it in for the time I have had them, looks and feels fine when draining and no signs of any sludge in engines so it can’t be a bad oil in my opinion.

 

Not that well up on oil but i think you pay for a name and get the same oil in some cases.
As long as it has the ll04 on it will do for me.

 

frequent oil changes with any LL04 will do,i actually serviced my daughters renault clio 68 plate with mannol,ive been using smith and allen from e bay on my f31 and M4,£60-£70 per 20l drum.

 

I went from Kroon oil, Castrol, Shell etc. to Mannol.
Great oil for good price , used for several years now.

Like for like (all Mann filters) ECP = £156 (although can't get Mannol which pushes the price up but still parts alone were over £80)

Autodoc and it's various clones were all around £105 - £120

Where are you getting Mann Oil Filter, Mann Air Filter, Mann Fuel Filter and 6L of LL-04 oil for less than £87 delivered?

 

buy oil in 20 l drums,and just shp around for filters,ie TJ filters on e bay etc,my M4 cost me lless than £60, air filter £24 for 2,oil filter £9 and oil about £20 for 6 litres,no fuel filter tho

I know oil type is a personal preference but my two peneth:-

Used Mannol with no problems in my daughter 500 .

I get my oil from Westway Oils - UK based company and spot on service and price not bad.

Swop over every 10000 miles and my e91 LCI 59 plate has 175,0000 on the clock

320D N47 - checked the next morning and needed about 1/2 - 3/4 L

 

im sure them engines are 6l of oil,only asked as the m57 is 7.5 litres etc

 

5.2 litres in n47 engines
