2AAF won't go away!! - Fuel Pump Plausibility - 2009 e92 n43

I'm having a nightmare clearing the 2AAF code on my e92, and was hoping someone could give me some guidance.

I've had the 2AAF code for about 2 years now. The only other codes I have are NOX sensor related (a story for another thread), nothing else fuel pump related.

I've changed the Low Pressure Fuel Sensor (twice, just in case the first was a dud), and no joy. Clear the fault, eventually it comes back.

What can I do next? I thought about changing the Low Pressure (in tank) fuel pump, seems like an easy enough job, but if that was failing surely I'd know.

Could it be the high pressure fuel sensor?

Could it be the connector to the sensor, if so how the hell do I change/repair it?

Could it be literally anything else?

Help appreciated.

Get a fuel pressure testing kit and test the low pressure side. See if matches with what the car reads.

Have you checked the wiring at the plug well all of it you can see.

How would I go about pressure testing?

I’ll have a look at the wiring, I’d have no idea how to get the wiring replaced if bust though. Very frustrating.
