Hi All,
Last month I took delivery of a February 2020 5 Series M Sport touring with HK Sound. Amazing car!
I paired my phone (Android) before I drove out of the dealer and I was prompted to scan a QR code to activate my Spotify account. I did so and all worked great.
For 1 week !

I came out one morning and no spotify selection on the media menu.
I can play spotify via Bluetooth audio but selecting music has to be done through the phone and it does not remember song positions.

I did some Googling and the recommendation was to downgrade the Spotify App.
I did to a version from the start of the year and it made no difference.
I deleted the phone from the car and the car from the phone, rebooted, still no difference.
No Spotify on the media menu.

There is nothing about Spotify in the vehicle owners manual.
The car has a (Apple) Carplay subscription but I don't have an Apple phone.

Anyone any suggestions?

Thanks,

Barry

Whilst in your car and with the phone connected through bluetooth, go to "manage device", click on "disconnect phone" wait 30 seconds then "re-connect".When connected make sure the use BMW "apps" box is checked on the IDrive. Make sure "connected drive" is open on your phone and it should re-connect to both this and Spotify. I have to do this on odd days when mine stops reconnecting. I also have to make sure my Spotify doesn't update on my phone or I lose connection ability totally. Sometimes just a re-boot of my phone/connected drive works.
Hope this helps.
