Not in my opinion you are at the mileage to replace chain then do annual/10k oil changes and all will be fine.
The B47 is not immune from chain failure either

👍 out of interest what are they charging to do the job? Also if it’s manual I would suggest clutch and flywheel change while they are at it as it will just be cost of parts.

 

I had various quotes ranging from £695 to £1900. I went with the middle one for £995. Spoke to the guy who sounded extremely knowledgeable & he did mention that they will check the clutch & flywheel at the same time as you say it is just the cost of parts. Once it's replaced he encouraged me to stick to the 10k service & make sure whoever does the service uses the correct spec oil.
