2013 f30 cruise control failure

Hi guys

I'm new to the forum and having Abit of trouble with my new car (330d f30) hoping for Abit of advise, I've seen a few similar threads but basically I get this warning every so often when it happens all steering wheel functions stop (volume, phone, cruise etc) the error clears itself after about a minute and all functions work as normal again, I've read it can be the slip ring that needs changing, would it be a dodgy connection on the slip ring itself or is there some wiring that could have a bad connection too that needs changing too?

You say "new car" how long have you had it.
You might have the seller look at it if not very long.
Could be the slip-ring but a code scan would be a good place to start.

Thanks for the reply, had it about 6-7 week and bought the car private, I know a code scan would be good but the error clears itself after a minute, would the error be stored or would it need the fault to happen at the time of the scan?
