Hi,

I have enabled DRLs from the dashboard, but this seems to put the dipped headlights on as well as the Angel Eyes.
Is there a way to put just the Angel eyes on all the time?
I can only seem to achieve this if I manually put the headlight switch in position 1. (2 being full dipped, and 3 auto)
I have seen other E90's drive around with just the angel eyes on, but obviously I don't know if they have manually put them on.

Thanks!

Not sure what you mean by this.

"I can only seem to achieve this if I manually put the headlight switch in position 1. (2 being full dipped, and 3 auto)"

Position 1 is sidelights, and also gives DRL, so working as designed.

If all you want is DRL use position 0 , ie lights off. You should find the angel eyes, and only the angel eyes, come on when you start the engine.

To clarify, my headlight switch has the following positions:
0 - Off
1 - Sidelights
2 - Dipped Beam
3 - Auto Lights

If I put the switch to position 1, I get just the angel eyes come on.
If I put the switch to position 3, when I unlock the car, the Angel eyes come on, but when I start the car they either switch off or if its dark enough the dipped headlights come on.

I found under the control menu on the dashboard there was an option for "Daytime Running Lights". I switched this to "On". However, this just switches the headlights to dipped beam whenever you start the car.

So, my question is if it is possible to have the headlights on Auto, and have the angel eyes come on whenever I start the car?

Thanks!

Just been out to test again, and the only way to get just Angel Eyes on is by putting on the side lights.
On auto, it just puts the AEs on when you unlock, then when the car is started either turns the AEs off, or the dipped beam on.

Put the DRL's back on. Guess ill just drive with dipped beams on...

Had one of the headlight blubs blow on me yesterday, so was just keen for them not be on all the time. (try and extend the life) But at ÂŁ10 a bulb, cant complain too much. Not unless they blow often! :p

Agree, if you have the non-xenon headlights, then the DRL option activates the dipped beams.

If you want Angel eyes on, activate sidelights.

I believe pre LCI models with or without Xenons, the DRL activates Dipped Beams.

Im assuming yours isn't the LCI model then??
