Hi everyone, this is my first post so please be gentle:)

I recently purchased a 320d, my first ever BMW, and all was going fine until my wife tried to open the passenger window from the passenger seat. When she tried the down switch, nothing happened? I pressed the 'window lock' button on the drivers door several times and still couldn't get the window down, but when I tried with drivers door window operation switch it went down and up without a hitch. I proceeded to try both rear windows from the drivers door switches and both went down and up without a problem, but when I tried the back door window operation with the back door switches, again nothing happened on passenger side window but drivers side rear window went down, but wouldn't go back up (but did go up with drivers door switch). I then took passenger front window down with drivers door switch and then tried to raise with passenger door switch and it went up but wouldn't come back down.
I am very confused and its really annoying me. Is my only option to be robbed by main dealer or is there a fix I can do?
Please help...thanks in advance

As the passenger side front and rear are affected and not the driver side it sounds like it could be a break in the power feed to the passenger switches, as they work from the drivers switches I would suspect the locking switch is not working with the window motors correctly, you could try re-initialising the windows by winding each 1 down fully and holdiing the button down for 5 secs afterwards then winding each 1 back up fully and holding the button up for 5 secs, from the drivers control switches.

Thanks for the reply, I tried as instructed and still no good :-(. All I tend to get from all doors is a slight double click when I hold the switch in the close position. It's strange how the drivers door switches all work great but every other door switches don't work at all. Looks like a trip to the local stealer :-(
