How do I reset the Service Interval Indicator displayed on the instrument panel cluster? Ive looked at the Owners Hanbook, in particular pages 54/55/56, and I cant find this information.

Do I have to attach to a computer to do this or can I do it by fiddling with those buttons on the indicator arm?

Advice gratefully received.

Getting a bit frustrated with this as im not making any progress. Just to clarify, when I begin to start up the car I am advised I need a 'Service' at minus 120 miles (which I dont), and then the 'Vehicle Check' symbol (car sitting on ramp) appears, as it does when I turn the engine off.

Couldnt get into the menus in the way suggested via the link under heading Manual Reset Procedure but did manage to get in by toggling the switch on the indicator arm. This is the sequence when I scroll through the Menu:-

CHECK / SET (locks etc) / SET (mpg/kpg etc) / SERVICE INFO / SET (date) / SET (time) / RESET (tyres) / OIL

If I go into 'SERVICE INFO' which seems to be the one thats relevant this is the sequence when I scroll through this sub-Menu:-

BRAKES / VEHICLE CHECK / BRAKES / MOT / BRAKE FLUID / OIL

The 'VEHICLE CHECK' symbol (car on ramp) is the same one which appears when I go to start up the car and which I want to get rid off. It gives a date of 12/2014 and 27,000 miles, over three years hence. I tried to find a sub-menu here but there isnt one. Ive tried to find a way to manually reset that date in the hope that it might get rid of those bl**dy symbols on start up.

Just to confirm, the Date and Time are accurately set on my instrument cluster.

What do I do?

Ive had a further look and noticed that it's warning me under BRAKES (front) minus 120 miles, and I suppose this is why I am advised initially with the 'VEHICLE CHECK' symbol. And as the brake pads are getting on a bit I guess its warning me to replace them. After this I would hope the symbols go out.

Right or wrong diagnosis? If its right then iam wondering why the 'Vehicle Check' symbol appears on start-up, and not the 'Brakes' symbol !?
