2006 E90 325d M-Sport Saloon - ISOFIX Top Tether Point

Hello, first time poster. Just picked up the above car and looking to install a forward facing ISOFIX seat however I just can't find a top tether/anchor point anywhere.

The car does not have the folding rear seats.

I can find the bottom 2 ISOFIX points no problem however the top anchor is nowhere to be seen.

Anyone else encountered this?

I am in the same situation, also with a 2006 E90. The anchoring points are below the package tray. I am in the process of retrofitting them. You need to take out the seats, speakers, C and D pilar trims, seat belts, and then the tray itself. Below it the foam is pre-cut at the position of the anchoring points. These appear to be OEM refs 72149119678 (Child seat holder, black) and optional covers in case you remove them (ref 72149119698, also in black). There is a third reference, 07147124153 (a screw) but this one seems greyed out in the diagram corresponding to my model so I am pending clarification on the matter. There are other references depending on your trim and model, so please make sure that these apply to you. I have not completed the retrofitting yet, pending getting the hardware, but I can say that it is not for the faint of heart but not as technically demanding as it seems. The hardest part is to cut the tray at the precise points for a neat fit of the pieces, without making a mess in the process.

Hello,

Just to give an update I went ahead and purchased the parts mentioned by other participants in the thread:

07147124153 (Screw)
72149133957 (Grey seat holder, in my case)
72149133979 (Grey covering cap, in my case)

I took apart the package tray as instructed in this video, but looking back it is not necessary. I just wanted to make sure that my car (E90 with folding rear seats) had the supports that Baldo Mero showed.

It should be possible to simply get a x-acto knife, make a small hole in the area near the back speakers (like 10 cm to the side and 5 cm under the back of the speaker), remove the protective foams to reveal the support and adjust the opening to fit the child seat holder.

After that hard part is done, all you have to do is fit the part, insert the screw, tighten it and put the plastic cap.

Hope this helps someone in the future.
