I probably would have just took it in to a dealer (or good indy) to get the codes read - then it's on them if they replace the wrong bit etc.

It sounds like a fairly simple error. Have you checked that your fuel pump isn't just fubar? I'm not sure what extra info you'll get from a cheap code reader - most people recommend a 'Peake' because it give a greater level of detail.

 

Because i was recovered home i have no way of getting it to a dealer/indy and dont use it much during the week anyway. Just want to get a idea of whats wrong before i start pulling things apart.

What a great peace of kit ! Plugged it in today and came up with P2620 fault code.. Throttle Position Output Circuit/Open ?

I cleared it and the fault didnt show up again so hope thats ok ?

On Reading tons of info on my problem i put in £5 worth of diesel on the off chance the "miles left reading" was wrong.. after about 30 secs it fired up and no longer a "fuel pump" warning on the Idrive.

From now on going to leave 1/4 tank all the time for peace of mind and gives the fuel pump less work to do.

Even if theres nothing wrong with your car its a great bit of kit for the price and it could save you a fortune :thumbsup
