After a week of no fault codes, my car has materialised a completely new one!:mad

It is saying 3EC0 camshaft sensor, it has counted the error 191 times but no obvious loss of performance or power. Any thoughts?

Also the mass adjustment seems to more diverse on cylinders 1 and 4, 1 is reading +1.2 and 4 -1.3 the other two are +0.2.... normal or not?

As discussed before fault codes and faults are not always the same thing, my turbo actuator faults (short circuit) have completely gone away on cleaning the MAP sensor.... hmmm

A little but not much, just made up a leak off tester from ebay for ÂŁ14!! will do that test first, also no more smoke that normal (small amount accelerating hard in 2nd gear) more concerned about the camshaft sensor. Engine vibrates a lot when idling (about 15mm of shake) but it could just be engine mounts.

I remember reading a thread once where someone changed there cam sensor on I think a 330i.

When the old one was unplugged there was oil on the contacts, sensor had obviously let it through from the cam cover.

Might be worth checking yours Matthew. :thumbsup otherwise out of ideas:confused
