Go to a good motor factors,one that supplies most of the garages in your area and ask for two 24 inch wiper refills and take them home and fit them and trim to length required.

Total cost under £3.


Those piaa blades look trick but using 'rain x' will give the same results,better actually.

 

Was it tesco's that had good cheap wipers that worked well?

 

I got the genuine Bosch units off Ebay they were a set specifically for my year E39, rubbers and all the supporting ironmongery.
I think there called 'specific fit' the aerofoil bit is not part of the blade.

I used to swear by rain-x until I used the PIAA silicone blades:thumbsup

 

My old wipers had had it, smearing the rain which was dangerous when driving at night as the glare was awful, so I picked up a pair of Bosch ones from Halfords yesterday. Would have got them off the bay, but I'm far too lazy and needed them straight away as the weather is now getting pretty bad.

They are spot on. Crystal clear, no squeaks etc. £23 though, so if you can afford to wait a week for delivery or whatever, get them somewhere else cheaper.

 

Try autobulbsdirect.co.uk. Their own brand model specific ones are brilliant and only cost £5 each !!!!!! I've had a set of those in my own 528i since August last year and they're still going strong.
