2002 E46 compact rear quarter window trim removal

How would one remove the outer rubber trim (seal?) on the quarter window?

I need to replace mine, as they're in not so great shape. I looked at them and saw some black paint, I guess, under them, like you would find on the windscreen, which led me to believe they're glued in place.

Note - by outer, I mean the one that's on the edge of the glass, not the thick one that's on the window frame

Thanks for any help

Yep, those. Was afraid it was like that... Thanks for the reply :)

An option would be to mask up around the perished rubber, coat the internal weatherseals with silicone grease (be thorough but sparing) and use black rtv to refurbish the rubber by applying it where needed then closing the window. when dry, use a scalpel blade to cut to size and finally peel off the masking tape. ~Good luck!
Interesting. Will think about it
