Sounds like the central locking module on the driver door may be sticking?

The double locking noise on the boot also sounds like something is sticking. The noise may be it unlocking (but not completely) and then re-locking itself?

 

When you manually lift the pin does it seem nice and free or is it slightly harder to move than the others?

 

not tried to manualy lift it so ill try 2moz and see, as far a central locking module going do you know how much this could set me back. cheers mate great help and fast response

 

when it sticks i cant get it coz its set inside the door panel but if i open the door from inside it just opens fine, so i think i maybe central locking fault, would i be right if so any1 know how much to put right.

I would have a diagnostic done on the central locking, it may well come up with a fault code, otherwise it may well be a module problem

 

were could i get this done, is it a job for bmw or can i go else were, and have you any idea of cost. thanks

 

Any good BMW indy should be able to do it for you, or a auto electrician, shouldn't definitely cost more than £40
