Dont want to repost about ongoing roof problems but mine was playing up and suddenly stopped working.
I would advise first to check for broken wire in the roof loom at the last bend on the front frame.
Although the outer casing looks brand new,there was a broken wire[green and white].I resoldered it and roof is perfect.
My problems never pointed to the front,as i couldnt even get the windows to drop but this roof loom is for the hall sensors and they all have to report that they are working even if they are not actually being used at the time.Basicalliy the module has to recieve good signals.
The loom can be tested for continuity with a multi meter from the white connector unplugged from the cvm module [behind rear left side panel]
I didnt do the reset as it just worked straight away from a closed roof position
