alpina527 does do a bbtb kit for the 318iS mate which is the way i would go. PM him mate as he is the guru :yes
The other options are;

1. If your handy with engineering skills, the 3.0ltr M3 throttle bodies can be modified to fit the 318iS, unsure about the M44, but can definitely be done on the M42 by deleting the middle two throttle bodies and modifying the mountings. Not easy and not cheap.

2. Fit a dbilas seperate throttle body kit..... VVVVV expensive though

i think something along the lines of 5bhp!!

don be expecting much, i am hoping to get some for my IS when everything from my house is sorted,

think it just feels a lot perkier and responsive,

and its quite cheap 120 quid then send your old 1s back to alpina,

theres induction kits out there 4 200 saying 10bhp and i seriously doubt they do, so its worth the money for the BBTB!!

Hello mate,

Have you got any news on this?

IF SO...

  • Have you got it on now?
  • Any power increase?
  • Feel any different?
  • Fitting it - was it easy or not?
  • Last but not least a PICTURE?????

Cheers Mate!!!!

I have one on my iS (pictures in my thread, there are plenty) and it made a huge difference, the whole rev range was cleared up and the car pulled a lot better. It's by far one of the best mods I have done to the car so far. And dead easy to fit, pretty much plug in and play :)

Only issue I had was the rev's started bouncing all over the shop and thus in my frustration hoofed it down the road and then it sorted it's self out after that. :silly
