My nsr suspension air bag on my X5 2015 mileage 32k failed.
Had to get it recovered and taken to BMW dealer.
Looking at images the base looked very rough quoted £1300 fix.
The recovery company and warranty direct stated it was very common failure for X5.
Looking at the forum I haven't seen many threads.
I would really appreciate any feedback from members regarding this subject.

Have a look on this forum as it's all about the X range and that price they gave you is OTT.
If you can use a spanner then you could do the job it's not hard and a bag can be got for £50 to £130 depending on the make.(Arnott are very good)...

Thx for reply.
Initially looked on you tube doesn't look complicated.
Failure happened when I was driving really surprised.
Service receptionist told me car had to go on computer to balance both bags.
I have a warranty direct insurance they approved anyway.
But outside dealer network I think £400 is fair.
Use to drive a alfa 1600gt junior and bmw 1602.
And so far so all good with this car.

If your warranty will cover it great.
But it is easy to diy and don't think you need a computer as it has level sensors to control the height and level.

It looked quite easy .
Although Dealership do over sell.
Stated that parts needed calibration after fitting!
£200 Diagnostic fee not refunded if they start the job.
Labour 2 hours .
Going forwarded gonna try and find a good independent in South East London.
