Original post seems to have been deleted for some reason? Admin - if it's because this has already been answered elsewhere, can someone give a link please. I tried to do a search but "Hub Nut" didn't bring any results.

Can anyone confirm the socket sizes needed to remove the rear hub nut on a 2004 X3, and also what size reverse torx socket is needed for the bolts holding the axle to the diff. I think it's a 30mm 12 point for the hub and either an E12 or E14 for the diff bolts but want to be sure before I buy the wrong sizes.

Thanks.

I need to do mine very soon. Can you summarise what's involved? did you need a press for the bearings etc?
