I’ve recently developed an issue with my windscreen washers. Fluid, but very little comes out. Had car serviced 3 weeks ago and they cleaned the tubes & filter and it worked fine, for 24 hours.

the garage has advised they can investigate further but before I book it in I wondered if it was a common fault & if anyone had found a resolution.

If cleaning filter made it better for a day or so then it will be a build up of gunk in washer bottle that has blocked filter again.
I took mine out and gave it a jet wash to remove as much of the gunk as possible

Tank off and a good clean out.
The black gunge is hard to get rid of any other way.

I found it better to get a second hand tank for mine it could save you money in labour charges at the garage.
Give it a good clean then ask them to fit it.
Being disabled now means i can't do this stuff myself now but if you can do it then win win clean it out.

As above - bottle needs to come out and be washed out. The gunk is caused by mixing different type of screen washes. Safest way is just to use BMW's own - that way if they top it up at a service, you don't then end up in trouble.

Sometimes you get lucky and different brands play nice, but the bottles are now such a PITA to get to that it's just not worth the saving of using other screen wash.

I can tell you from personal and tedious experience that Porsche screenwash and BMW absolutely doesn't mix incidentally!
