saloon and coupe rear lights are they the same or is ther a diffrence:confused

my mate had sum crystal rear lights on his saloon and we tried them on my coupe and they fitted

Off the top of my head, I thought the same. Rear lights different among all the models, front lights (bar indicators) the same.

Thats what I thought. Its just the front ones that are the same.

We'll see when the pics are up, but I would have said off the top of my head that saloon and compact tail clusters were the same, but the coupe ones are more stretched out from side to side. I also suspect that the tail light clusters on my compact are the same as on the E39 5 series.

But we could all be wrong!
