Washers warning light

Hi, have noticed my washers warning light comes on after a few days even if they've been filled to full and I've hardly used them.

I think it's probably either the reservoir or one of the pumps.

My question is, when I pull the washer stalk the jets spray water no problem however, a second or two later there is a secondary noise like the pump is attempting to spray water again but nothing comes out. Is that normal?

Many thanks.

Sorry for the late reply and Merry Christmas!

Of course, the second pump noise must be the headlight washers, doh.

Not long got the car so no idea how long it's been doing this but I don't see any water dripping from below. I fill the reserve to the brim, leave it 20mins and the water has dropped below the neck of the reserve.

The warning light came on a few days ago but there's still water coming out of the jets. Had thought about a faulty warning light bit when I fill them the light goes out.

When looking at the videos on how to fix these it looks a bit of a pain to get to the pumps/bottom of the reservoir.

Thanks.

Hi, noticed a continuous leak from the front passenger side near the fog light (under front bumper). I recently filled the washers to full again and wondering if this is the leak I was talking about.

It looks like water, not coolant and not oil. The last few times I haven't put any washer liquid in because it leaks so fast so would make sense it is just water.

The strange thing it is at the other side from where the washer tank is situated.

Anyone have an explanation for this? Could it be a burst pipe, perhaps one that goes to the rear washer?

Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks.

Edit: again I forgot about the headlight washers. I wonder if it's leaking from the passenger side. No idea what the setup from the reservoir to the headlight washers though, anyone know?
