hi all, after a bit of advice,
i need to find the colour code for my 325, there is no sticker under the bonnet,can i go to any dealer and ask them to find my cars details or do i need to go to the original dealer who sold the car??

Phone any dealers parts department and give them the VIN no and they should tell you

ok guys the car is a 2000 325i, it is a metalic black,
badj.... which part of the vin number is the paint code?

Its not on the VIN plate-should be on the passenger side turret under the bonnet-I have 2 stickers there telling me my colour.However there cant be that many different metallic blacks from 2000 so this should narrow it down.Could try the original dealer and it should be on your paperwork somewhere :thumbsup

That's right StK, not many colours for an E46 saloon in black.
To OP...you either have Jet Black (paint code: 668) or Sapphire Black (paint code: 475)

thanks guys,just checked under the bonnet again and i cant find a sticker anywhere,checked the service book as i was told the code should be in there but still no luck.
will phone original dealer tomorrow and see if they can shed some light
