Hi guys,
I noticed yesterday when I had my E39 jacked up to do an oil change that the front disks are worn very unevenly.
The outer face on both sides is relatively smooth and shiny, and looks like a typical brake disk should. However the inside faces, which I had not seen until I went under the car yesterday are terrible! Really rusty and pitted.
Any ideas why this might happen?
And can anyone recommend where to get decent quality disks at fair prices?

The brakes are effective so I know the caliper pistons are working, but the inner face of the disk which the piston acts on directly suggests otherwise. :confused
