Hi, just cleaned my F11 MSport Touring (245/19's front) I've noticed a bulge in the sidewall, which surprised me as I thought the stiff sidewall of run flats would make them a bit more robust. See photo.

Anyway, I'll need to get it changed eventually, but what do others think about it going bang any time soon? I didn't do huge speeds day to day, but do reach speeds of 60-70mph a few times a week.

Could be a defective tyre or you've clouted it in a pot hole. Depending on how old it is you might be able to get it swapped out by the manufacturer.

It doesn't look like will go bang, but for you to have done that to a run flat, you must've gone against a kerb with some force. I guess you just don't how the tyre will react, but at the end of the day it ain't safe to drive on. I'd get it changed asap and keep the tyre if you wish to complain to the manufacturer.

At 60-70mph speeds, change it.

Get it changed ASAP before it gets any worse

You can also get points on your license for defective tyres
