Hi all, newbie here, have been to look at a 1999 323i e36, just wandering what you guys think of them and if its something i should stay away from.

Im a mechanic for mazda and cannot fault the car except for 2 rear tyres and perished brake hoses, i know for a fact it has the steel lined bores as confirmed by bmw.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Not a lot to worry about really. Plastic Water pump impellors can be a pain, but they are easy to change. Rear trailing arm bushes wear out quickly, but Powerflex bushes solve this. And they seem to eat lower ball joints but the arms are cheap.
Overall a fairly easy car to fix and parts are plentiful and a good one drives brilliant :thumbsup
